Professional Relay Team Led By Tour De France Rider Tyler Hamilton Registers for the Nevada Silverman Triathlon

We are excited to announce that another high profile professional relay team has registered for the Nevada Silverman Triathlon. The three man U.S.-based team will consist of Tyler Hamilton, Ernest Kimeli and Erik Vendt. All three athletes are previous triathlon or Olympic top finishers.

Volunteers

Plans for the 2nd Annual Nevada
Silverman are well underway and we’re looking for volunteers! Last year was a HUGE success due largely in part to the 800+ incredible volunteers we had working with us! Participants benefited from a 4:1 volunteer to athlete ratio; something that is virtually unheard of in this sport!  We’ve heard nothing but compliments from our 2005 finishers who have raved about how supportive and encouraging the volunteers and Henderson Community were. And this year we’d love nothing more than to outdo ourselves! That means we need 1000 of the most energetic, helpful people we can find! So we need your help!!

Project Sunshine

As a child with cancer, can you imagine wanting to attend summer camp because you know it’s the only summer you might have left?

As an abused or abandoned child, can you imagine yearning to attend summer camp because it’s the only place you’ve ever felt totally loved and accepted unconditionally?

Can you imagine making a difference for a child—simply by participating in the Silverman Triathlon and raising enough pledges to sponsor a camper for the summer of 2007?  Every $500 raised sends one camper to summer camp—with an experience that impacts their young lives for good—forever.

Nevada Silverman Triathlon Welcomes Sundance Medical Center as an Official Sponsor

We are excited to announce that Sundance Medical Center has signed on as an official sponsor of the 2006 race.  Sundance Medical Center, established more than 10 years ago, is a group of board certified primary care physicians. They offer comprehensive care including acute care, prevention and disease maintenance. Sundance believes patients need access to their doctor at the facility --- same day visits are the usual. The doctors do not finish a visit until all issues are discussed and questions answered. They pride themselves on listening to their patients. The continuity continues if a patient requires a hospital stay, they don’t hand their patients off to other doctors. Simply – they are a group a physicians who care.  We are thrilled to finally have them on board and look forward to a continued relationship.

Experience the Silverman Aboard the Desert Princess

Would you like to experience the Silverman Triathlon aboard a beautiful boat?  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch the excitement from the Desert Princess. The Desert Princess is an authentic, three-level, Mississippi style paddlewheel boat.  The boat is spaciously equipped with 2 climate controlled enclosed decks and an open promenade deck perfect for taking in the cool, clean air and watching the athletes during their grueling swim.  The Desert Princess will be the turn around point for the swim. Spectators interested in viewing the swimmers and enjoying a continental breakfast must be on board by 5:15 a.m. to have a reserved seat. Attendance is free of charge and is first come first serve to the first 150 spectators.
